In our 15th season, GVYC launched the Coaching Excellence Initiative to develop more coaches, provide ongoing professional training, and keep raising the quality of our programs.
Professional development: small-group sessions with leading mountain bike instructors, with demos, practice and Q&A across a range of skills and disciplines.
Medical training: coaches are often first responders on the trail, so every GVYC coach meets one consistent safety-training standard.
Measuring success: we track certifications, training hours and coach retention so every rider is coached by a trained, certified coach.
