Join the 2019 High School Mountain Bike Team!

PLEASE NOTE: Registration will open soon for the 2019 season!

It takes a few steps to get your student rider signed up, and for first timers it can be confusing.
This quick guide will walk you through the entire process.

1

Provide Your Info to the GVYC Team

Fill out the form below to provide the GVYC team with pertinent information that we need in order to get you started.

Note: you will provide additional (and similar) information in Step 3 to the Colorado High School Cycling League.

Fill out my online form.

Pay the GVYC Team

The team dues are $275 for the high school racing season. If you need a jersey (required for races), that is an additional $40.

You can “earn” a $75 rebate by giving back to the team in volunteer hours. More details about this opportunity will be posted on our Team App.

Note: if you have a jersey from a previous season, you do not need to order a new jersey!

To pay via credit card*:

In the form below, select the item that you need.  This pops open a view of your cart and will allow you to pay. On the payment screen, be sure to select “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” (or you can use PayPal, if you have an account).

Choose Options
Jersey Size (if applicable)

To pay via check*:

Please send a check for $275.00, made out to Grand Valley Youth Cycling (or GVYC). If you need a team jersey, add $40 bucks for a total of $315, and include a note with your jersey size (XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL). Send to:

Be Patient! You will receive an invite to the online registration form for the Colorado High School Cycling League (…this is also known as the online “Pit Zone”).

When you receive this invite (emailed to the email you provided in step 1), move to Step 3, below.

You will also receive an invite to TeamApp, which is required for Step 4.

If you do not receive an invite in the next couple of hours to couple of days, please contact the team at gvyouthcycling@gmail.com.

Provide Your Info to the League

Once you receive your invite to the online “Pit Zone,” you will need to register your rider with the Colorado High School Cycling League. This is separate from the GVYC team registration. The League is the larger governing organization that our high school team is a part of.

If you are signing up for your first season with us, you will need to create an account, using the link that is being emailed to you (again, please be patient…it might take a day or two to receive the link to the Pit Zone!).

If you are a returning rider, or are returning to this Quick Guide to find the link to the Pit Zone, either to register or to pay for a race entry, the link is:

https://pitzone.nationalmtb.org/users/sign_in

Once you are logged in, it’s very easy! Just follow the prompts, fill out the forms, and pay your fees. You will need your insurance info, a credit card, and 5 minutes of your time.

The total fee for the season is $65, plus $60 per race. Note that you do not have to pay for the races until a week before the race, but you are welcome to pay for any and all races all at once, if you’d like. Just be sure to come back to the Pit Zone at least 7 days ahead of the race to register — there is no onsite race registration!

Connect with us on “TeamApp”

One of the most important tools that we use as a team to communicate practice times, cancellations, races, gatherings, etc., is an app called “TeamApp.” You may already be familiar with it, if you have been involved in other sports teams. It is quite popular.

You will be invited to join the team’s account once we have received your info from Step 1. In the meantime, download the app to your phone, and bookmark the main TeamApp website:
